Tue Mar 30th, 2021 Doctors’ Day Tue Mar 30th, 2021 It’s easy to forget just how important, valuable and necessary good doctors are – that is until you get ill or sustain an injury. Doctors Day puts hard-working doctors in the spotlight, and encourages us to be considerate of the long hours they work, their compassion, and the effort they put into practicing medicine. All around the world, Doctors’ Day is celebrated, as we all recognize the contributions that physicians make in the community and to individual lives. Some countries will celebrate Doctors’ Day on a different date, yet all nations make sure that those in the healthcare sector are appreciated. We think that it is only right that these people are celebrated! After all, just imagine how life would be if there weren’t any doctors in the world!

Shou ld the role of English be strengthened in Ukrainian schools?  This was stated by the Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, Alexey Danilov, during the f orum «Ukraine 30. Culture. Media. Tourism». "Young people's knowledge of English is a guarantee of the independence of our state. English should be used from kindergarten through high school. It does not have to be taught, it has to be known. The fact is that we have a lot of people learning English, but very few people know and use it. When we are able to tune the society to English-language publications, then the issue of the linguistic war can gradually disappear," said the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.

We only live this life once and As Young As You Feel Day is a good reminder to us that age is a number, and shouldn’t be used to stop us enjoying ourselves.   How much is academic achievement shaped by genes? Researchers have found that a child’s genes significantly influence their long-term performance in school – beyond even intelligence. Children differ widely in how well they do at school. To study this, specialists used a sample of more than 6,000 pairs of twins and analysed their test scores from primary school to the end of compulsory education. The new research found that the twins’ educational achievement was remarkably stable: children who do well in primary school also tend to perform well in exams, which are taken at the end of compulsory education. When there was a change in educational achievement – where grades increased or dropped between primary and secondary school – they found this was largely explained by those environmental factors that are not shared by twins. Findings, which suggest that genes influence how well a child will do across the length of their time at school, should provide additional motivation to identify

At least 15 people have died and some 500 have been injured in a series of explosions near a military barracks in Equatorial Guinea, officials say. Sunday's blasts, in the main city of Bata, were caused by "negligence" around the storage of dynamite at the barracks, the country's president said. Images on social media showed huge plumes of smoke and widespread damage. The incident may have occurred after farmers burned fields surrounding the barracks, he added. In a series of tweets, the health ministry called for volunteer health workers to go to Bata Regional Hospital and also asked for blood donations.

Netanyahu blames Iran for blast on Israeli-owned ship in Gulf of Oman Publishe Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has blamed Iran for an explosion that damaged an Israeli-owned ship in the Gulf of Oman last week. The MV Helios Ray, a vehicle carrier, was travelling from Saudi Arabia to Singapore when an explosion reportedly ripped holes in both sides of its hull. "This was indeed an operation by Iran. That is clear," Mr Netanyahu told Kan Radio, without providing any evidence. Iran's foreign ministry said it strongly rejected the accusation. Mr Netanyahu's remarks were broadcast hours after a monitoring group reported that Israeli missile strikes had targeted Iranian forces in Syria.
