Should the role of English be strengthened in Ukrainian schools?

 This was stated by the Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, Alexey Danilov, during the forum «Ukraine 30. Culture. Media. Tourism».
"Young people's knowledge of English is a guarantee of the independence of our state. English should be used from kindergarten through high school. It does not have to be taught, it has to be known. The fact is that we have a lot of people learning English, but very few people know and use it. When we are able to tune the society to English-language publications, then the issue of the linguistic war can gradually disappear," said the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.
